A lightweight macOS AppleScript utility that prevents your MacBook from sleeping when the lid is closed.
On launch, ClamUp checks whether clamshell mode is currently on or off and presents a simple dialog with a toggle button.
- Turn On: Sets
pmset -a disablesleep 1, preventing sleep when the lid is closed. - Turn Off: Sets
pmset -a disablesleep 0, restoring normal sleep behavior.
Toggling requires your admin password (macOS prompts automatically).
With just the Makefile and ClamUp.applescript, run:
makeThis compiles ClamUp.applescript into ClamUp.app using osacompile.
make run # Build (if needed) and launch the app
make install # Copy ClamUp.app to /Applications
make uninstall # Remove ClamUp.app from /Applications
make clean # Delete the built .app bundle
make help # Show available targets
Double-click ClamUp.app, or from the terminal:
open ClamUp.appIf needed, you can reset sleep behavior directly:
sudo pmset -a disablesleep 0- macOS 10.12 or later
- Admin account
